Club Challenge: 100 Coffees
“100 Coffees” started as a personal challenge popularized several years ago by Chris Hope, as a way to build new relationships and foster a sense of community with one one-on-one meeting at a time.
This year, the Bryn Mawr Club of DC would like to challenge members of our community to meet and converse, through a collective goal of 100 one-on-one meetups (coffee optional) before May 2026. While in DC we like to network with folks in our “career lane”, we challenge you to meet with people who can give you a new perspective. In launching this challenge, we also hope that we can use this as a way to help feel together in turbulent times.
We’ll be keeping track and sharing with our community as we make progress towards our goal. After your meetup, email bmcdcpresident@gmail.com with who was there (names and class year), a brief note on what was talked about that we can share with our community (such as in an Instagram post), and if you can, a photo!
Prizes! We will be keeping track of how many coffees we have, both as a collective community towards the goal as well as individuals. Each meetup counts as one for the community tally, but also one for each person present. Every 20 conversations towards the community tally, one participant will earn Bryn Mawr swag.
Come May 2026, the person with the most coffees under their belt will win a free membership to the Club and $15 gift card to a coffee shop of their choice.
Note: Members of the Board may not qualify for prizes; however, if you are looking for a place to start, non-Board members are welcome to reach out for a coffee to any of our Board members!
